Sub Rosa is latin for 'under the rose' - a term for something subtle, clandestine, unspoken.
Subrosa was founded on a simple idea - that true luxury is not mass produced. We hand make each timepiece as they are ordered - with each watch assembled specifically for it's new owner.
When you acquire a watch from us, we send you updates as your build passes through it's phases of production. You see your watch go from individual components to a complete, refined, final product.
The result is a timepiece that is distinctly yours. Crafted with exceptional materials, considered in every detail, and built to carry meaning long after the moment it was made for.

Our designs are a modern interpretation of classic aesthetics. We take inspiration from locations, people, moments we've experienced, and infuse them into our watches.
We keep our designs beautifully simple; we focus on colour, geometry and use of space to create the personality of the watch. We strive to design timepieces that reveal beauty in the details the more time you spend with it.
We're perfectionistic about the materials used in our timepieces - carefully selecting beautiful components that deliver the best performance 'on the wrist', while keeping prices accessible to most.

Born and hand assembled in Canada.
We're one of the few (but growing) number of watch companies that does their entire assembly in Canada.
By assembling each watch locally, we contribute to the growing presence of Canadian watchmaking, while keeping greater control and involvement in the production of each model - allowing us to maintain strict production standards on each timepiece produced.
