You do not need to understand watches or arrive with a finished idea. Your first conversation is complimentary, and there is no obligation to proceed.
What happens next?
1. We begin with a conversation. By learning about the person or occasion behind the commission—their style, interests, accomplishments and the meaning you would like the watch to carry.
2. We guide you through potential designs, materials, movements and personalized details. We can also show you previous commissions to help identify what speaks to you.
3. Following the conversation, we develop an initial creative direction and proposal for your watch. Nothing enters production until you are comfortable with the design and have approved the project.

How long does a commission take?
Most commissions are completed within 4 weeks following design approval.
Can I commission a single watch?
Yes. Most Subrosa projects are created as individual, one-of-one timepieces. We also accommodate team and organizational commissions through a separate process.
Can I incorporate a logo or a personal symbol?
Yes. We'll show you a few ways to work it in, and handle the execution ourselves so it reads as part of the watch, not added to it.
